Who's Who
Richard William George (BWY diploma) was born and grew up in Birmingham UK, and has been teaching with Yoganu since 2007. He moved to London in 2009 where he now lives and teaches yoga.
Richard travels extensively around the world in order to explore yoga in different spiritual contexts and learn from many inspirational yoga practitioners. He has traveled to India, Thailand, Costa Rica, Vancouver and Hawaii to study with internationally renowned yoga teachers. He completed his teaching diploma with The British Wheel of Yoga in 2008, and has also completed additional teacher training courses in Hawaii, Costa Rica and UK. In addition to this he has studied Thai Yoga Massage in Thailand and continues to explore his spiritual practice through shamanic practice and dance. He is also passionate about healthy eating and nutrition, in particular the spiritual wonders of chocolate. (Donations are always welcome!)
Richard teaches from the heart in a very creative way through encouraging self-exploration and personal awareness. The main focus of his classes are not just about challenging the body but also inviting the student to find or allow a softness, to bring about a greater sense of balance and ease. He has studied many styles of yoga but is most passionate about: Hatha (for balance), Vinyasa (for flow), Scaravelli (for ease), Tantra (for awareness) and Iyengar (for alignment).
Richard's first encounter with naked yoga was in summer 2005 at a HNY workshop in London. He later went on, to join Aaron Star at the Costa Rica retreat, which opened up the start of a very exciting journey. He later began his teacher training with Aaron and has assisted and taught with HNY on retreats and workshops worldwide. His experiences with this practice enabled him to discover an inner happiness and peace he had not known before. This is why he decided to share with others the gift of yoga. His playful curiosity towards yoga and his personal fascination with the workings of the human body (anatomy) and consciousness (quantum science) go hand in hand with the ancient teachings and philosophies of Tantra.
"I am fascinated by the uniqueness of yoga to the individual. My aim is to help people to explore for themselves the many benefits yoga brings and also to connect with, experience, and sense for themselves the wonders of their own body and mind.
I believe that yoga is a personal journey we decide to take and the various styles of yoga are different pathways used to help us to reach the same goal. I aim to encourage individuals to look internally and find stillness and peace within, helping people to guide themselves on their own personal journey, that is truthfully right for them."

Mark Mulligan was born in rural Ireland, but has
travelled all his adult life; working and living in Europe, Asia
and Africa. He left a successful corporate career to devote himself
to his spiritual development.
Mark has had a meditation practice for over 20 years but more recently became passionate about his asana (physical) yoga practice. Mark is a certified asthanga yoga teacher and massage therapist/instructor. He has worked extensively with most of the well known Asthanga Vinysaa Yoga teachers; Pattabhi Jois, Sharath Rangaswamy, David Swenson, and Nancy Gilgoff. He has also studied many different types of bodywork around the world in Thailand, Australia, India, France and England.
Mark is passionate about yoganu and the transformational
effect it can have on men's lives. He attended his first Hot
Nude Yoga class with Aaron Star in new York in 2004
and was blow away by it. "I had always found yoga to be a very personal
practice, connecting with that still place within. HNY expands
on this, helping you to relate to others from this space, enabling
you to take your yoga practice off your mat and out into the world".
Mark studied/worked extensively with Aaron before setting up Yoganu.
